The Program Overviews
The program overview pages are provided to give the user a basic understanding of the purpose and output of the program, who developed it, who manages it, and it user community. This information is often of interest to users as it gives a sense of the types of applications to which the data can be applied. The pages also include other features of interest for users of observing systems.
External links are provided for more in-depth information.

Unique Approaches to This Requirement
The information has been somewhat standardized across the program information pages so that users will come to know what to expect from the "overview" page to simplify searches.
The titles and paragraphs in the Program Overview Template are representative of the "program overview" pages that are provided for the 75 or more programs that are now included in GOSIC.
