History
Ponta Delgada is an RBCN station as well a GCOS Surface
Network (GSN) station. Ponta Delgada 08513 is in the ancient part
of the city (old Observatory) now surrounded by buildings; 08512 is at
Ponta Delgada Airport. The two locations are about 5 miles apart.
There is a overlapping period of observations since 1969.
