EuroGOOS Data Access

Data Availability: EuroGOOS is in the process of setting up a database page that will provide direct links to its data in the near future. Some databases and data products are already available online.  The Met Office, NERC and EDMED data catalogs provide links to certain data and several member countries have data and data products available online.  Note that several pages are in national languages only.

The EuroGOOS Data Policy sets out procedures for contributing and accessing data for Members of EuroGOOS and others.

Access the MET Office, and NERC Data Catalogs

The following databases are available on-line and post EuroGOOS data:

• UK Met Office data catalogue for EuroGOOS Synoptic data from UK voluntary Observing Fleet, Bathythermograph data from UK Ships, Surface data from UK drifting buoys, Sub-surface data from UK Argo Floats, Real-time graphical products from the NW European shelf-seas model, wave data and products, Real-time ocean data and products from global FOAM, ECOMET, etc.

EuroGOOS Related Projects

The following links access real time data sites which are the results of EuroGOOS-related projects:

• Animate data from oceanic sites in the Northeast Atlantic.
• Coriolis data service containing measurements from all over the world, and includes real time data from several other European Operational Oceanography projects such as arg-greenland, gyroscope, mfspp, sfb460 and Weccon-AWI.
