High heat and humidity will continue into the weekend with isolated thunderstorms.
It becomes mostly clear overnight and only very isolated nebulae form. Temperatures will gradually drop to the low 70s by morning.
On Saturday as well as on Sunday it will be partly cloudy with building heat and persistently high humidity. Count on highs in the deep 90s. The chance of rain for a pop-up shower or thunderstorm is 30%.
Similar weather is likely on Monday, although part of Hurricane Ida‘s outer cloud shield will begin to push over the Mid State, capping temperatures to the 80s.
Rain and thunderstorms from the remains of Ida are expected Tuesday and Wednesday in Middle Tennessee. 1 “to 4” of rain is likely to fall in our area. Isolated floodplains can arise. Occasional storms are also possible on Tuesday. We’re going to have highs in the 70s and low 80s.
At the end of next week, the weather will be brighter and drier, as the temperatures will remain in the 80s.
