A dangerous weather forecast for Penobscot, Piscatiquis, Hancock and Washington counties has been issued for Thursday, according to forecasters from the Caribou office of the National Weather Service.

Isolated thunderstorms could bring fierce winds and potential hail to parts of eastern and northern Maine Thursday.
A dangerous weather forecast for Penobscot, Piscatiquis, Hancock and Washington counties has been issued for Thursday, according to forecasters from the Caribou office of the National Weather Service.
Thunderstorms are expected to move across eastern Maine late Wednesday evening and continue into Thursday morning. Isolated storms could bring up to a half-inch of rainfall in eastern Maine, according to forecasters.
Thunderstorms are expected to give way to foggy, rainy conditions Thursday afternoon, with cloudy conditions continuing into Friday morning. With temperatures forecast to be in the mid-80s, isolated thunderstorms are possible across eastern Maine Friday night.
Although isolated storms could bring wind gusts of up to 15 miles per hour, no hail is expected as of Wednesday evening.
