An easterly wave moves from the Gulf of Mexico into north Texas over the weekend. It has led to scattered showers and thunderstorms across North Texas.
However, the emphasis is on “isolated”. No more than 20% of North Texas will see any rain at all. Count yourself lucky if it rains.
Sunday looks partly cloudy and hotter for Father’s Day, again with a low chance of isolated thunderstorms. And next week looks to be even hotter, with triple digit highs expected on Monday for the June 16th bank holiday and every day thereafter next week.
By the way, the summer solstice occurs on Tuesday at 4:14 am. But it already feels like summer.
