Cyclone Gulab

the Cyclonic storm Gulab was 270 km from the coast of Odisha on Sunday morning after moving west at 10 km / h. The cyclone is expected to hit land around the north coast of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday night.

Heavy to very heavy rain is possible over isolated locations in Telangana, and heavy rain is likely over isolated locations in West Bengal and Chhattisgarh.

On Monday, heavy to extremely heavy rainfall is expected over isolated locations in the interior of Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh, while heavy to very heavy rain is forecast over isolated locations in Odisha. Heavy rains are also expected over isolated locations in West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has one red warning via Odisha and the Andhra Pradesh coast for Sunday. This is the highest level of weather advice, instructing residents and authorities to take measures to protect against adverse weather conditions. The monsoon trough runs over Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and the center of cyclone Gulab on Sunday morning.

A cyclone circulation is over Madhya Pradesh on Sunday morning and will likely bring sporadic to fairly widespread rain with occasional heavy rain and thunderstorms over Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and eastern Rajasthan on Sunday and Monday before gradually weakening.

Another cyclonic circulation is likely to develop over the east-central and northeastern Gulf of Bengal on Monday morning and move northwest. The circulation could take place on Tuesday morning over the northwestern Gulf of Bengal off the coast of West Bengal and on Wednesday morning over West Bengal. The system is likely to bring fairly widespread rain with an occasional heavy rain and thunderstorm over East India and the adjacent areas on Wednesday and Thursday.

The offshore trough is likely to remain off the coasts of Maharashtra and Kerala during this period. Over the coasts of Maharashtra, Goa, the coasts of Karnataka and Kerala, fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with occasional heavy rain and thunderstorms can be expected during this time.
