A comedian from Victoria, Texas, portrayed intrepid meteorologist Jim Cantore as part of a series of extreme weather parodies when Hurricane Nicholas crashed onto the Gulf Coast. The September 12 video shows Cody giving Shugart a live “weather update” as he mimicked Cantore’s yelling and mannerisms. The second half of the video shows Shugart ordering a drink from a dairy queen in his same outdoor hurricane voice. Shugart often films himself in short comedy sketches that he shares on his Facebook and TikTok pages. Hurricane Nicholas hit land on September 14, bringing high winds and life-threatening floods to the upper coast of Texas, Louisiana, southern Mississippi and southern Alabama, the NHC said.
