AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) — The weather is looking good for whatever your outdoor plans may be for the next few days, with dry conditions and temperatures a solid 15 to 20 degrees warmer than average through Monday. A cold front will move into the area on Tuesday and stall for a few days. This gives our area a good chance of rain for the middle part of the week.

Forecast update for Saturday morning – 05/03/2022

Saturday starts cloudy but clouds thin for the afternoon to allow highs to warm up into the low 80s. The wind is blowing from the south at 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday night will also be very warm with temperatures in the 70’s by 8pm and overnight lows falling only into the mid 50’s. Winds overnight will be from the south at less than 5mph. Patchy fog is a good possibility around dawn Sunday morning.

If Saturday wasn’t warm enough for you, Sunday and Monday will be even warmer, with near-record temperatures expected on both days. Skies will be partly to mostly sunny on both days, with highs in the mid 80s on Sunday and mid to high 80s on Monday. Overnight lows will also be on the warm side, with lows in the mid-50s Saturday and Sunday night.

A cold front will bring scattered showers and storms to the region starting Tuesday. Increased cloud cover and scattered showers will keep temperatures slightly cooler on Tuesday with highs in the mid to high 70s.

The biggest chance for more widespread and heavier rain looks like it could be Wednesday through Thursday. As a result, afternoon highs will be a few degrees below average in the mid-60s, while overnight lows will be above average in the low-to-mid 50s.

After another possibly wet day on Thursday, drier conditions on Friday will return into next weekend.
