AUGUSTA, Georgia (WRDW / WAGT) – Temperatures remain in the mid to low 70s this morning with clear to partly cloudy skies.
The Bermuda High maintains heat and moisture for the remainder of the work week. Today’s highs will be in the mid-1990s. A few showers and storms can be expected in the afternoon. Most of the rain should subside a bit after sunset. The south-southwest winds generally blow less than 10 miles per hour.
The broken record forecast continues on Friday with morning lows in the low 70s and afternoon highs in the mid to deep 90s. Isolated showers and storms are expected on Friday afternoon / evening. The winds will be from the south, usually less than 10 miles an hour.
The chance of rain looks less until Saturday, but the heat and humidity will remain. The highs on Saturday will be in the middle to the lows of the 90s, with partly cloudy skies and the possibility of isolated storms in the afternoon.
Slightly higher storm chances appear to return to the forecast by Sunday afternoon as our usual summer pattern returns. Highs will be steamy in the mid-90s.
It looks a little cooler later in the next week. Tuesday and Wednesday next week highs are likely to remain in the upper 80s. The probability of rain should continue for the afternoons of next week. Make sure you keep it here for the latest updates.
