Hot with isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday

We will have mostly to mostly clear skies and dry conditions tonight. It will also be warmer tonight than recent nights as the lows will be in the 50s and high 40s.

For tomorrow we will have increasing clouds and hot temperatures as highs will be in the mid to late 80’s and lows will be in the mid 90’s. There will also be some scattered showers and thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon, tomorrow evening and tomorrow night if a disturbance sweeps through our area. Some of these thunderstorms can also be violent, with wind gusts in excess of 60 km/h. Tomorrow and tomorrow night will also be a little windy as sustained wind speeds will be between 5 and 20mph.

On Wednesday we will have mostly to mostly sunny skies with some showers and thunderstorms generally in the morning and generally in locations east of I-15. We will also have gusty winds on Wednesday, particularly in the afternoon and evening as sustained winds range between 10 and 30mph and gusts of up to 50mph will be possible at times. Also, Wednesday will be cooler than tomorrow as highs will fall in the mid to high 70s and lows in the mid 80s in most places.

Mostly to mostly sunny skies and mostly dry conditions are then expected on Thursday and Friday as high pressure will generally control our weather. Thursday will also be the coolest day of the week as highs will only be in the 70s. High temperatures will then warm up back to the low to mid 80s for Friday. There will also be little wind on these two days as sustained wind speeds will generally be between 5 and 15mph.

It’s getting warm for the 4th the July bank holiday weekend as Saturday, Sunday and Monday highs will be in the 80s in most places. It will also be a bit windy over these three days as sustained wind speeds will range between 5 and 20mph. Saturday will also be the sunniest and driest day of the bank holiday weekend as we will have mostly sunny skies in the afternoon and evening with only isolated showers and thunderstorms. We will then have the opportunity to see some isolated showers and thunderstorms on both Sunday and Monday, generally during the afternoon hours, when a storm system begins to affect our area. We will also have partly cloudy skies on Sunday and Monday.
