Improvement in air quality and isolated showers and thunderstorms around Friday night and Saturday

We’re going to have less smoke tonight and improve the air quality. There will also be isolated showers and thunderstorms tonight as a storm system begins to work its way through our area. It will be mild tonight as well as the lows in most places will be in the 50s. Tonight it will also be a little windy, especially along the Hi-Line and east of Montana, as the sustained wind speeds will be between 8 and 20 miles per hour.

For tomorrow we will have a partly to mostly cloudy (and hazy) sky with a few isolated rain showers and thunderstorms, especially in places east of I-15, as a storm system continues to work its way through our area. It will also be cooler tomorrow than it has been in recent days, as most locations will have highs in the mid to mid 60s and lows until the mid 70s. Airy conditions are also expected tomorrow, as sustained wind speeds between 10 and 40 km / h and wind gusts of up to 56 km / h will be possible at times.

On Sunday we will have increasing clouds throughout the day, with the possibility of rain showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the evening when a cold front approaches our area. On Monday we will have a partly cloudy to mostly sunny sky with a few isolated rain showers and thunderstorms, as this cold front leaves our area.

Temperatures will cool down a bit between Sunday and Monday as well, as Sunday highs are in the middle to the upper 70s and Monday highs are in the middle to the upper 60s and lower 70s. On these two days it will also be a little windy in places as the sustained wind speeds will be between 5 and 20 miles per hour.

On Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday we can expect partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies and mostly dry conditions. Tuesday and Wednesday will also feel nice outside as the highs at most locations will be in the mid to late 1970s. It will then be cooler on Thursday and Friday as the highs at most locations are in the mid to upper 60s and lower 70s. Airy conditions are also expected on Tuesday and Wednesday as the sustained wind speeds will be between 10 and 25 miles per hour.
