HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) – Troubled weather is expected to continue on Tuesday.
Meteorologist Scot Haney said isolated showers and thunderstorms could develop in the afternoon.
“We start out cloudy and humid, but the clouds should dissipate as the day progresses,” Haney said. “When the sun is shining, the temperatures should be between 75 and 80 [degrees] in the afternoon, which leads to greater instability. “
With cold air in the air and daytime heating, it’s a recipe for potential storms.
“Storms that develop could be strong, possibly violent, with gusty winds and small hail as the main concerns,” Haney said.
When they show up, you can track them here using Channel 3’s interactive radar.
By Wednesday the state will be dry and less humid again.
“We’ll be enjoying plenty of sunshine with temperatures above 70, which is normal for this time of year, with lower humidity,” said Haney.
More of it is expected for Thursday.
Friday seems to be a bit warmer and airier with highs between 80 and 85 degrees.
