James Benton “JB” Fox, Sr.

James Benton “JB” Fox, Sr., 95 of Quinton, died on July 17, 2021. He was born on January 16, 1926 in Alliance.
In death he was preceded by his parents Emma and George Fox; Brothers, JR (TX) and Pat (PA); and daughter Toni.
He leaves behind his 69-year-old wife, Jane Caradine Fox; Kinder, Nancy Fox and James B. Fox, Jr. “Jim” (Donna); Granddaughter Morgan Morgan (Lee) and great-grandchildren Hayes and Grant.
He served in the Navy Seabees during World War II in the South Pacific and survived the loss of his ship in a typhoon. JB owned a trucking business and loved antique cars and helped others. He was a member of the West Jefferson Baptist Church and Acacia Masonic Lodge # 670.
The memorial service will take place on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 12 noon in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Reverend Howard Thompson will officiate. He is buried in West Jefferson Freewill Cemetery. The family welcomes friends from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
