KC is getting storms late Wednesday, nothing serious is expected at this time

A cloudy and cool Wednesday will bring heavy rain showers in the late afternoon and evening in the Kansas City area. The rain will have an impact, but none of the storms appear to be severe at this time. If you’re going out, you might want to bring a jacket as well. Temperatures are expected to stay in the 50s. Rainy areas and some thunderstorms are also likely overnight through Thursday morning. Intermittent showers and a few thunderstorms persist Thursday afternoon and evening. The high temperatures are expected to be slightly warmer for these showers. Persistent showers will slowly dissipate Thursday evening into early Friday morning. A low of 52 is expected overnight through Friday. Expect mostly cloudy and stormy conditions through Friday afternoon. Friday’s high is in the 60s. Clouds and sunshine are finally coming on Saturday. Mid-weekend will likely have conditions in the 70’s. Conditions are also much warmer on Mother’s Day with mostly cloudy skies. Holiday high will be near 80. A very warm and windy Monday will continue into next Wednesday with highs in the mid to high 80’s.
