SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Kyla Grogan will join the KRON 4 News team as a daily meteorologist, the broadcaster said Monday. Grogan will provide weather reports for KRON 4 News at Noon, LIVE! in the Bay” and “KRON 4 News at 3pm”. She will also provide weather reports for KRON 4’s 24/7 streaming news app, KRON ON.
Grogan comes to KRON 4 after working as a weather forecaster in some of the country’s largest media markets, including Los Angeles, New York and Philadelphia. Most recently, she worked at the local Fox affiliate in San Francisco. She started her journalism career as a reporter and presenter before moving into meteorology.
As a meteorologist, she has worked at the Weather Channel, covering major events such as Hurricane Sandy and Hurricane Isaac.
“I’ve had the good fortune to work with some of the best meteorologists in the world,” Grogan said. “I’ve learned a lot from them and rely on my Weather Channel training for my daily forecasts.”
Before beginning her television career, Grogan sang and danced in touring groups on Broadway, including The Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Beehive and Starlight Express. She has a degree in journalism from Boston University and a degree in Earth Sciences/Meteorology from Mississippi State University.

Grogan will join the KRON 4 team starting Monday, August 1, 2022.
