WXXV FOX 25 / NBC 25, Gulfport / Biloxi, Mississippi on the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast is looking for a full-time METEOROLOGIST for our news team. They’ll be on the air five days a week. We want someone who can make accurate predictions, understand the Gulf Coast weather, and know the importance of a strong presentation.
We need a person who understands the effects of different weather conditions and can convey this information clearly to viewers. Candidates must have experience developing the day’s weather story using video, images, and computer graphics tools.
Knowledge of The Weather Company / IBM Weather Graphics and strong social media skills will get you to the top of the class. A degree in meteorology is preferred.
A good driving report is a must. We use DMV, drug screening and criminal background checks as a condition of employment.
WXXV-TV started with news in 2013. We now make the news seven hours a day.
WXXV is just a few miles from white sand beaches and just over an hour from New Orleans. This is a tourist destination with beaches, casinos and great seafood.
