Meteorologists warn of unstable weather from Friday

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority warned of unstable weather in the southern and eastern regions of Egypt from Friday 5 August to Wednesday 10 August.

The peak of weather instability is expected on Friday.

Rain of varying intensity, which can be heavy and reach thunderstorms, is expected in the south of the country in the areas of Halayeb and Shalateen and Saint Catherines.

Active winds are forecast over Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the south of the country and South Sinai.

Meteorologists expected high humidity during the day, which increases the feeling of hot temperature by values ​​​​up to 4 ° C.

Manar Ghanem, a member of the Media Bureau of the Meteorological Authority, said during exclusive statements to Al-Masry Al-Youm that severe thunderstorms and thunderstorms could fall in Egypt as torrential rains are also expected at the sources of the Nile River in Ethiopia and Sudan des rise of the tropical rain belt.

Ghanem said the tropical belt is affecting southern border areas in Egypt, causing a number of areas in Egypt such as Halayeb, Shalateen, the Red Sea mountain ranges and some areas of Luxor and Aswan to face rain on Saturday. 6th of August.

She explained that August is one of the hottest months of summer, with humidity levels rising, amplifying our sense of high temperatures above normal summer rates.

Meteorologists expected daytime hot, humid weather in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the north coasts, very hot and humid in South Sinai and the south of the country, temperate and humid weather in the north coasts, and hot, humid weather in the remaining parts.

Fog forms in the early hours to 6 a.m. on farm and highway roads near water canals, obscuring road visibility.

Fog is expected on some roads leading to and from Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the north coasts, the Suez Canal cities, central Sinai and northern Upper Egypt on Friday and Saturday.

On Friday, light rain is possible in Halayeb, Shalateen and areas of South Sinai, which may be accompanied by intermittent dust and sand. Winds will be active at times in areas of Lower Egypt, the east coasts, South Sinai and northern Upper Egypt.

On Saturday there may be intermittent light rain in areas of the southern Red Sea governorate, the southernmost part of Upper Egypt and South Sinai.

Intermittent winds are forecast for Sunday in areas of Greater Cairo, the North Coast, South Sinai and northern Upper Egypt. Areas in the southern Red Sea Governorate and southernmost part of Upper Egypt may experience intermittent light rain.

Occasional active winds are expected in areas of Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, the north coasts, South Sinai and the south of the country on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Intermittent light rain is forecast for areas in the southern Red Sea Governorate.
