Good morning and nice Tuesday!
Even more hot and humid weather is on the way from rain and storms.
Since there is still high pressure in the entire region, we will experience sunshine and a light wind again. We start the day at around 70 degrees, which is 5-10 degrees above normal for this time of year, and prepare for a dew point temperature of around 70 degrees, which means humid weather all day.
Today’s highs will continue to climb into the low 90s this afternoon, but when we factor in the humidity, they will feel more like the top 90s. Tomorrow, the temperatures are even hotter. Wednesday will be the hottest day of the week as temperatures climb to the low to mid 90s but feel closer to 100 degrees.
On Wednesday afternoon we also see the chance for showers and thunderstorms in front of a cold front. That front will shift from Thursday to Friday and then rise again on Friday night. This leads to persistent showers and thunderstorms, usually only in the afternoon.
A stronger cold front will pass through on Monday. This will bring a more dispersed chance for rain and storm, followed by more seasonal temperatures in the mid-1980s.
