Ole Miss running back Henry Parrish Jr. entered the transfer portal on Wednesday, On3’s Matt Zenitz reported. He announced his commitment to hometown Miami Hurricanes on Sunday after Rebel running back coach Kevin Smith followed him to Coral Gables.
Parrish was the fourth-best rusher for the Rebels in 2021 behind running backs Jerrion Ealy and Snoop Conner and quarterback Matt Corral. Parrish rushed for 553 yards and three touchdowns in Ole Miss’ 10-win campaign.
As soon as Parrish entered the portal, speculation abounded about Miami and the rumors quickly turned into true value for the former Miami (Fla.) Columbus standout.
The former Rebel joins the aforementioned Ealy, Conner and Corral, who are all leaving Oxford this offseason, despite those three having declared for the NFL draft. Ealy, Conner and Corral all ran for over 600 yards in 2021.

However, Ole Miss is not without hope in his running back room. The Rebels signed and landed standout Alabama prep Quinshon Judkins in the early signing phase TCU transfer runs back to Zach Evans from the portal. Ole Miss also returns as running back Kentrel Bullock of Columbia, Miss., who had 17 carries for 78 yards last season.
Evans became the first Horned Frog to enter the transfer portal after a 48-14 loss to Iowa State in November. In six games, the former top running back contender rushed for 684 yards and five touchdowns for the team.
Judkins finished his 2021 senior season with 1,524 yards and 26 touchdowns in nine action games.
