Patchy showers and scattered thunderstorms Wednesday morning, some storms may produce wind gusts near 50 mph and hail. The rain is developing along the cold front, which will pass between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Clear skies are expected for a few hours behind the front before further showers and some thunderstorms are possible in the evening. The rainfall is about 0.25 to 0.50 inches. After the day started near 60C, temperatures drop into the low to mid 50s behind the front. Winds will also be gusty, particularly in the morning, with gusts near 30 mph from the southwest.
Winds will weaken overnight but it will still be windy with a west wind of 10-15 mph. Lows will stop near 40 degrees on Thursday morning. A few showers will persist through Thursday afternoon, otherwise expect partly cloudy skies with highs in the low 50s.
The chance of rain continues this weekend, Friday evening and Sunday evening. Temperatures continue to trend colder with morning lows in the low to mid 30’s next week and highs in the mid to high 40’s.
