Rain and thunderstorms are forecast until Saturday morning

Savannah, Ga. (WJCL) – We had some much needed rain this morning. There will be a few showers throughout the afternoon with a stalled front in the south. Temperatures will not be as warm as the past few days with most areas in the mid to high 60’s. Models do not show much rain for most of Friday, but a warm front will move through the area in the late afternoon and the chance of showers or thunderstorms will increase in the evening. Heights will be below average for most of the day with easterly winds. The highs will be in the mid 60’s. A strong cold front will pull through on Saturday morning. Rain is likely with some thunderstorms possible for Saturday mainly before 11am. There will be some gusty winds and heavy rain with the cold front. The serious threat is low. Temperatures will drop throughout the day on Saturday and skies will clear up in the afternoon. It will be windy with gusty west winds. Impact Weather is likely Sunday morning….
