CALGARY – Thursday afternoon is going to be dry under a mixture of sun and clouds. Although the showers have stopped, there is a risk of isolated thunderstorms for central and southern Alberta into the afternoon and evening. Nickel-sized hail and gusts of 70-90 km / h are possible, but areas east of Calgary that extend to the southeast corner also have the potential for funnel clouds or a land spout tornado to develop. Drier weather and warmer temperatures go into the weekend.

Here are the five days:

Thursday:

  • Partly cloudy, thunderstorms possible in the afternoon

  • Daily high: 25 C

  • Overnight: Risk of thunderstorms in the early evening, then partly cloudy, 14 C

Friday:

  • Morning cloud, lightening in the afternoon

  • Daily high: 27 C

  • Overnight: Sure, 15 C

Saturday:

  • Mostly sunny

  • Daily high: 30 C

  • Overnight: chance of evening showers or thunderstorms, 15 C

Sunday:

  • Partly cloudy, thunderstorms possible in the afternoon

  • Daily high: 25 C

  • Overnight: Partly cloudy, 13 C

Monday:

  • Sun and cloud phases, risk of thunderstorms chance

  • Daily high: 20 C
