CEBU CITY, Philippines — Two months after Typhoon Odette (international name: Rai) devastated the island, more tourist destinations are reopening in Cebu province.
The local government of the city of Samboan in southwestern Cebu announced that the famous Aguinid Falls has welcomed guests again on February 18, 2022.
“The Aguinid Falls are now open to the public”, a contribution from the tourist office of the municipality read on Facebook.
One of the most popular tourist spots in Cebu Province, Aguinid Falls boasts eight tiers. It is located in Bruges. Tangbo and only 200 meters away from the National Road.
Samboan is a fifth class community located approximately 150 kilometers southwest of Cebu City.
All tourist attractions in Cebu province were shut down on December 16, 2021 when Odette struck.
It took several weeks for authorities to clean up typhoon debris left on roads leading to some of the province’s most popular tourist destinations.
