This is what local forecasters say about the storms forecast for Tuesday

Isolated “strong to severe” thunderstorms could bring heavy rain and hail on Tuesday afternoon. according to the National Weather Service.

The service has released a dangerous forecast for much of Massachusetts as well as northern Rhode Island.

“The main threat from stronger storms is noxious gusts of wind, isolated hail and heavy rainfall, which can lead to localized flooding,” the service said.

The day is also expected to be humid, with Wednesday being a continuation of Tuesday’s conditions. according to the service.
