Showers and thunderstorms are coming in today

An upper trough to our west will move into our area today and give us showers and thunderstorms. The best chance for thunderstorms is between noon and 5pm this afternoon. Some of the storms can include heavy rain.

Today’s forecast

We start the day partly cloudy with temperatures in the low 70s. Isolated thunderstorms begin in the early afternoon, followed by another round of thunderstorms later in the afternoon. The probability of rain today is 50%, but it drops to 30% tonight.

Looking ahead…

We want to take a break in wet weather tomorrow, but this weekend thunderstorms return to forecast with a 60% chance of rain. Some of the thunderstorms this weekend could be strong to severe. The next week looks a lot drier with highs between the mid and late 80s.
