For the late Saturday evening, a yellow thunderstorm warning was issued for all of MÃ¼nster as well as for Galway, Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo.
Met Ãireann predicts âthunderstorms with possible lightning strikes and localized floodingâ from 10pm this evening to 2am on Sunday morning.
A second thunderstorm warning was issued for Leinster, Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan and Leitrim.
This warning applies from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. on Sundays.
Met Ãireann issued a yellow wind warning for Cork, Kerry and Clare between 6 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Sunday, with a second warning for Clare and Galway between 12 p.m. and 10 p.m.
The forecaster predicts strong northwest winds with speeds of up to 65 km / h and gusts of 100 km / h.
On Saturday afternoon, “scattered showers” will extend east, but “many parts of the east and southeast will remain dry”.
Thundering rain will move over the country overnight, with a âwindy day over MÃ¼nster and Leinsterâ on Sunday.
Met Ãireann said that tomorrow “will be a cool day with sunny spells and thunderstorms that can lead to flooding”.
The forecaster added that the weather “will calm down early in the week” with showers mostly confined to the north and west coasts.
