For the late Saturday evening, a yellow thunderstorm warning was issued for all of Münster as well as for Galway, Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo.

Met Éireann predicts “thunderstorms with possible lightning strikes and localized flooding” from 10pm this evening to 2am on Sunday morning.

A second thunderstorm warning was issued for Leinster, Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan and Leitrim.

Met Éireann issued a yellow wind warning for Cork, Kerry and Clare between 6 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Sunday, with a second warning for Clare and Galway between 12 p.m. and 10 p.m.

The forecaster predicts strong northwest winds with speeds of up to 65 km / h and gusts of 100 km / h.

On Saturday afternoon, “scattered showers” will extend east, but “many parts of the east and southeast will remain dry”.

Thundering rain will move over the country overnight, with a “windy day over Münster and Leinster” on Sunday.
