THE International WeLoveU Foundation, a global charity led by Honorary Chairman Zahng Gij-jah, aims to improve the educational facility at Engracio M. Castañeda Central Elementary School in La Paz, Tarlac.
WeLoveU supported the bright future of young students by repairing two classrooms and donating teaching materials such as four blackboards and 50 chairs.
The dedication ceremony, postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, finally took place on April 7, attended by 50 students and teachers, including Principal Sheila Mabutol, School Department Office Superintendent Rolando Pozon, and a representative of the mayor from La Paz, Venustiano Jordan, in accordance with quarantine protocols.
WeLoveU supported the students at said school with 100 sets of school supplies such as bags, stationery and umbrellas. The renovated classrooms are used for alternative learning system (ALS) and special education (SPEd) students.
In 2017, the Foundation supported Bagong Silangan Elementary School in Quezon City with 20 audiovisual devices including TV, laptop and speakers. After Typhoon Haiyan struck in 2013, it helped workers pack supplies and meals while constructing two buildings at two schools in Tanauan to help children recover from the devastating typhoon.
This NGO is also affiliated with the United Nations Department for Global Communications.
